Introducing the Optogate PB-05 versions
The PB-05 is available in 2 versions.
The PB-05M (Mute) has an attenuation of -42 dB in the “Mic Off” position.
The PB-05D (Ducking) reduces the signal by -16 dB, in the “Mic Off” position.
Both units are powered via phantom power, can be used with dynamic or condenser mics, have an adjustable distance “sensitivity” and have a bypass switch on top of the unit.
What is the Optogate PB-05 and how does it work?
The PB-05 is an automatic microphone gate unit which is based on the latest infrared optical technology. The PB-05 is plugged between microphone and cable. It’s equipped with an infrared sensor. The PB-05 senses if someone is in front of the microphone and will switch on the microphone. The distance can be adjusted from approximately 6 to 48 inches with the help of a Trim Pot.
